Monta provides logistics solutions to e-commerce companies throughout Europe. From more than 20 locations, we handle fast and scalable domestic and international shipments for online stores.
Our Story
1999 — Where It All Started
Monta began as Montapacking, founded by Edwin van der Ham. The company started by packing CD-ROMs for World Online, helping people get online for the first time. This marked the beginning of our logistics journey.
2000 — Growing Fast
Demand for packing services grew rapidly. More and more businesses began outsourcing their fulfillment and logistics to us.
2006 — B2B Logistics
We are expanding our services to include B2B logistics. Customers are asking for more support with their logistics, and we are growing alongside their requests and needs.
2012 — Full Fulfillment
We shifted our focus to e-commerce fulfillment, including storage, packaging, and shipping. The number of Monta warehouses in the Netherlands grew quickly.
2021 — MontaWMS
Our in-house logistics software is now available to online stores with their own warehouses. With MontaWMS, we help companies optimize their logistics operations through order picking, inventory management, and integrations with sales channels. We also offer the corresponding hardware.
2022 — DHL Acquisition
Monta is becoming part of DHL, which will accelerate our growth across borders. This will also make it easier for us to support online stores as they expand internationally. We are expanding into Germany with fulfillment centers in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach.
2023 — MontaShip
With MontaShip, we are introducing a package delivery service for online stores in the Netherlands. Customers can easily create shipping labels, send packages, and use our carrier network.
2024 - 2026
Expanding Across Europe
We are expanding our fulfillment operations to the United Kingdom (Coventry and, later, Rushden) and to France (Meung-sur-Loire) in 2025. MontaWMS will also expand internationally in 2026 with a local presence in the UK. Our e-commerce logistics and software solutions continue to spread throughout Europe. Which country will be next?
