Products that appear in many orders can be placed in the e-check. This eliminates the need to pick them, resulting in more S and HM orders that can be picked more efficiently (in bulk). We refer to the type of warehouse location we use for this as an e-check location.

Products at e-check locations
When products are placed at e-check locations, orders may also come in for products that are only available at e-check locations. These do not need to be picked using the scanner. We refer to these as “e-check only” orders. On the e-check main screen, there is a button that allows you to find these orders. The button will flash when “e-check only” orders are available.

E-check Only
This “e-check only” concept is based on an idea that makes it possible for customers with few SKUs (for example, fewer than 20) and a fairly high volume of orders (for example, at least 50 per day) to place all products at e-check locations, thereby skipping the entire order-picking step. This concept can lead to high productivity, as an entire process step is skipped. An “e-check only” order is initiated on the e-check screen; the products are retrieved from an “e-check only” location and scanned, with the scan serving directly as the e-check scan. The beauty of “eCheck only” is that it requires virtually no investment; all that’s needed is a small section of shelving to create a few eCheck-type warehouse locations and a few software settings.
Having all products at e-check locations means: order picking is completely eliminated.
